Before you write: we cannot answer individual grant questions
We are an independent information site. We have no access to SASSA systems and cannot check your status, explain your specific decline, update your banking details, or change anything on your application.
For anything about your own grant, use the official channels:
- Call SASSA: 0800 60 10 11 — toll-free, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.
- Check your status online: the official portal at srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status.
Never send us your ID number, phone number, or banking details. We will not ask for them, and we cannot act on them.
What you can contact us about
- Corrections. If a page contains an error, tell us which page (include the URL) and what the correct information should be, with a source if you have one. We fix errors immediately and log every correction in the Updates & Changelog.
- Website feedback. Broken links, outdated payment dates, or pages that do not display correctly.
- Questions about the site itself. Our About page, our Editorial Policy, or how we operate.
Write to us at contact@checksassa2026.co.za.
We use email rather than a contact form for one reason: we do not collect personal data. A hosted form would store your message and your address on a server. Email keeps your message with your own provider. For corrections, include the page URL so we can find and fix the error quickly.
Response times
We are a small team, so we cannot guarantee a response time. We aim to respond to genuine site feedback and corrections. If your question is about a payment that is late or missing, do not wait for us — call SASSA on 0800 60 10 11. That is the only channel where a person with access to your file can help.
How to spot a fake contact channel
- We will never email you asking for payment, an ID number, or banking details.
- No one can fast-track a SASSA grant. Anyone who offers to, for a fee, is running a scam.
- SASSA itself never charges a fee to check a status or to receive a grant.
